If you want to know more about DCM in Denmark (in Danish) look here

Invitation

Today DCM (Dementia Care Mapping) is widely used in health and social care organizations all over the world. This workshop looks at how we can use the tool more efficiently to bring person centred care in to the dementia care institutions in Denmark. Key themes such as organizational readiness and implementation will be discussed. Ideas to translate DCM-language to pedagogical daily life language will be shown. Key DCM projects from UK and Denmark will be shared to allow greater understanding of what the tool can do. Knowing the DCM tool itself is not enough to bring about a change in the quality of person centred care.

This workshop aims to widen our understanding for successful implementation of DCM.

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet DCM-colleagues in Denmark and to get inspiration to work with DCM and talk about person centred care in different ways.  Acknowledge our workshop as a stem forward to improve the quality of life for persons with dementia, their caregivers and family members. Remember to tick-off this workshop in your calendar.

Workshop

This workshop is committed to providing what all dementia care professionals and Organizations working on the base of person centred care and using DCM need: a review of practice and experiences in making person centred care work in Organizations – combined with a vision of the future.

The workshop will

  • Stimulate, give ideas and pass on experiences on how to make person centred care and DCM work in organizations
  • Widen our understanding for successful implementation of DCM
  • Provide excellent opportunities for networking and debate

As well as presentation from expert speakers there is an emphasis on sharing ideas and practical involvement through workshops, debates and discussions.
